ATELIER108

A place to return to yourself.

Atelier108 is a private movement practice in the heart of Pimlico — one practitioner, one client, one dedicated space, where tailored work can evolve exactly as your needs do.

Movement

Movement as Language

Drawing on Pilates, yoga and biomechanics to create an adaptive approach to strength, mobility and movement.

Movement is language before it is exercise. The way your foot meets the floor, how your body organises itself under load, how breath changes with effort — all offer information about how you move and respond. We use that information to develop strength, skill, adaptability and ease, alongside a deeper understanding of your own body — whether the practice stands alone or informs how you run, train, dance or move through life.

Relationship

Relationship as Methodology

One-to-one, highly personalised, held without interruption.

One-to-one work is a deliberate part of the methodology. Working with one person at a time allows for close observation, responsiveness and continuity. Over time, a detailed understanding of how someone moves, responds and learns informs each session, allowing it to respond to you and the practice to develop with you.

Container

Atelier108 as the Container

Private, fully equipped and intentionally designed for attentive one-to-one practice.

The conditions in which we practise shape the quality of our attention. Atelier108 was designed to create the space to arrive, settle and focus fully on the session. Across two floors, privacy, quiet, a breadth of equipment and small details of care allow the studio to respond to you, and to how your practice changes — creating an environment that can support you however you arrive.

Who

What might bring you here?

Some arrive with a clear goal or physical concern; others with needs that are harder to name. Sessions might begin with strength or performance, a persistent pattern, a return after injury or time away, or simply wanting a practice that suits where you are now.

For many clients, training begins and remains with movement. Physical practice offers a complete and meaningful way to work here. For others, movement may open into something broader, with other elements introduced when relevant and supportive.

Why clients stay

Over time, the work becomes increasingly individual, evolving alongside changes in the body, abilities, priorities and life.

There is always somewhere further to go. Strength develops into skill; rehabilitation into performance; structured movement into freedom; enquiry into understanding. As goals and capacities change, the breadth of Atelier108 allows us to keep responding — so the practice stays relevant, challenging and alive.

“I have had ongoing issues with my back and Rachel has been wonderful with tailoring my practice to help me with my issues, but at the same time challenging my fitness. She is a first-class teacher.”

Susan

“As a trainer, Rachel is simply the best I have ever had. Her studio is absolutely stunning and a delight to train in.”
